LL Cool J may be used to hosting the Grammy Awards, the rapper has helmed every edition of the nominations show since 2008, but in 2012 it looks like he's finally ready to graduate after reports that he's in line to host the main awards show on February 12th, an event that is traditionally one of the biggest events of the year in the popular music calendar.
LL said in a statement "I'm thrilled to be part of Music's Biggest Night, I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream." If the event transpires, he'll be the first host of the awards since Queen Latifah back in 2005 and it's more than likely that he'll be seeing plenty of British singing sensation Adele, with the star up for a phenomenal six awards. She's also been rumored to perform at the ceremony which would be her first public singing appearance since undergoing surgery on her throat following a series of cancellations and pull-outs over an ongoing ailment in the second half of last year.
Stars who have been confirmed to perform at the event include Nicki Minaj, the Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Jason Aldean and BRUNO MARS.
