Emmy award winning actress Allison Janney who is most famously known for her roles as C.J. in The West Wing, Brenda MACGuff in the critically acclaimed movie Juno or more recently a pivotal part in the smash hit TV drama Lost, has been cast for her next part in the movie "The Help".
EW.com reports that Janney will play the part of Charlotte Phelan, mother to the stories heroine Eugenia 'Skeeter' Phelan who is set to be played by Zomieland's Emma Stone. Other principal characters include Aibileen to be played by Viola Davis, Minnie to be played by OCTAVIA SPENCER and Hilly who is set to be played by The Twilight Saga's Bryce Dallas Howard.
'The Help' is an adaptation from a novel of the same name by Kathryn Stockett, it focuses on the plight of black maids raising white children in Jackson Mississippi during the Nineteen Sixties.
Dreamworks Studios are set to start filming this summer in Greenwood, Mississippi; 'The Help' should reach theatres next year (2011).
