Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri and Young Jeezy were among the 50-plus rap and hip-hop stars who helped recreate ART KANE's famous 1958 photograph, A GREAT DAY IN HARLEM, in Atlanta on Friday (18NOV05).

Kane assembled 60 members of New York's jazz community for the original photo, which featured legends like DIZZY GILLESPIE and COUNT BASIE.

The new gathering was arranged as part of an upcoming MTV special, called MY BLOCK: ATLANTA.

Dupri, who insisted his bulldog Slash appeared in the shot, says, "It was beautiful. I think it's way overdue, but I think it's great that we, as a city, did everything we could possibly do to get to this point."
