Rapper Ludacris has been hit with a new trademark lawsuit.

Demetri Brown and Donna Evans-Brown have accused the star of filing papers last year (Mar11) and trying to dupe lawmakers into believing they renamed their audio/visual firm Disturb The Peace after he created and trademarked his record label Disturbing Tha Peace.

Brown and Evans-Brown maintain they came up with the name for their enterprise in 1988.

The papers were filed on Monday (01Oct12) at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Dallas, Texas and the Browns are now seeking an injunction and a cease-and-desist order preventing the Act a Fool hitmaker from using the phrase.

According to AllHipHop.com, the complaint reads, "Defendants have and continue to knowingly use the name, Disturbing Tha Peace in commerce with actual knowledge that it infringes on Plaintiff's trademark Disturb The Peace."
