Dr. Luke is taking Kesha's lawyer to court for defamation after he publicly alleged the top pop producer was the unnamed industry man who raped Lady GaGa as a teen.

Gaga stunned fans during an interview with U.S. shock jock Howard Stern last week (ends05Dec14) by revealing her song Swine was about a sex attack which took place when she was 19.

She stopped short of detailing the harrowing incident or naming names, but did not correct Stern when he asked if she had been raped by a producer she had been working with.

Her comments led Kesha's legal representative, Mark Geragos, to suggest the unnamed rapist was Dr. Luke - the same producer his client is currently suing for alleged sexual assault.

Geragos tweeted, "Guess who the rapist was?" and when a follower responded and asked if it was Dr. Luke, the lawyer replied, "#bingo".

Gaga's representative was quick to dismiss the claim, insisting, "It's absolutely not true", while a spokesperson for Dr. Luke blasted Geragos' statement as "completely false and defamatory".

Luke has now followed up the denial with a civil suit, filed in a U.S. court on Monday (08Dec14), in which the producer's lawyer slams the tweet as "maliciously false", reports Tmz.com.

The plaintiff, real name Lukasz Gottwald, maintains he had never even met Gaga at the time of the rape and has since only spent "less than half an hour total" with the superstar in the two professional meetings they have had.

Geragos is still standing by his tweet and is planning to depose Gaga in Kesha's sexual assault lawsuit against Dr. Luke. He also claims three other unnamed women will be deposed as well.
