A man who was arrested for loitering outside Madonna's New York home last month (Sep10) has been ordered to stay away from the pop superstar.
Robert Linhart, a retired firefighter, was taken into custody in September (10) after the singer's security guards spotted him outside her Manhattan apartment. Police allegedly found a knife on Linhart's person as well as an ice pick in his car.
On Friday (08Oct10), Linhart pleaded not guilty to resisting arrest and weapons possession. A grand jury declined to indict him on graffiti charges, according to the Associated Press.
The judge released the 59 year old on $20,000 (£13,300) bail on the condition that he stays at least 10 blocks away from the Material Girl's property near Central Park.
