Madonna fully expects her new album, M.D.N.A., to hit the Internet before she's ready to release it in March (12) - because hackers know the world wants to hear the tracks.
In a pre-taped TV interview with Irish host Graham Norton, which will air on his show in Britain on Friday (13Jan12), the pop superstar has confirmed the title of her 12th studio album and urged her fans to listen to the tracks when she's ready to release them.
Asked for a release date by Norton, she says, "It's soon. It depends how quickly people hack in to my server and leak it. Can people wait? It's terrible."
Gimme All Your Luvin' - a track Madonna recorded for the album with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. - was leaked online in November (11).
The pop superstar and her record label bosses tracked the crime, appealing to fans to help them find the person responsible for the unauthorised release and and Spanish police arrested and charged a man on suspicion of illegally leaking the song online in December (11).
Cops have only released the initials of the male as J.M.R. and they claim he is a big fan, who did not seek to profit from the release. He was charged with leaking the unpublished song and subsequently released.
