Madonna Never Pressed Charges Against The Man Who Allegedly Raped Her As A Teenager Because She Found The Entire Ordeal Too "Humiliating".
The Material Girl opened up about the harrowing incident during an interview with Harper's Bazaar in 2013, revealing she was attacked at knifepoint at the age of 19 shortly after moving to New York City from her native Michigan.
She said, "The first year (in New York), I was held up at gunpoint. Raped on the roof of a building I was dragged up to with a knife in my back, and had my apartment broken into three times."
On Wednesday (11Mar15), Madonna recounted the tale on Howard Stern's U.S. radio show, admitting her attacker was "a very friendly guy", and she put her faith in him because she "trusted everybody".
When Stern asked why she never considered filing charges with the police, Madonna replied, "You've already been violated. It's just not worth it. It's too much humiliation."
