Superstar Madonna is the big winner at the first ever BACKSTAGE PASS AWARDS tonight (09NOV04) after she picked up two gongs for her RE-INVENTION tour.

The MATERIAL GIRL wins Top Tour for her gig dates earlier this year (04), along with touring manager CARESSE HENRY being named Best Touring Manager at tonight's ceremony at New York's Roosevelt Hotel, organised by Billboard magazine.

Prince's MUSICOLOGY tour is Top Draw, for selling 1.47 million tickets, while Linkin Park are set to triumph with the Top Breakthrough Artist accolade.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS' British gig at London's Hyde Park wins Top Boxscore for grossing $17.9 million (GBP9.9 million) in sales.

Other winners will include Top Package for Kenny Chesney's concerts with Rascal Flatts and Uncle Kracker, and pop star Josh Groban will pick up the Top Small Venue Tour award.
