Mandy Moore thought voicing Rapunzel in new Disney animated movie 'Tangled' was a "dream job".

The 26-year-old actress loved working on the project because she got to be part of Disney history as the film is the 50th to be made by the world-famous studio, and didn't find any part gruelling despite it taking over a year-and-a-half of work.

She told Collider.com: "It wasn't a particularly gruelling process I have to say. It's pretty much a dream job to be in an animated Disney film. I have been watching Disney films, 'The Little Mermaid', 'Aladdin', 'The Lion King', 'Beauty and the Beast', who didn't?

"So to be included in that lineage and that history is not exactly a tough day at the office. It wasn't gruelling, it was over maybe a year and a half of actually doing the work. But obviously with an animated film the people behind the scenes work tirelessly."

Mandy has previously revealed she was "overwhelmed" when she found out she had won the voiceover role.

She said: "The prospect of joining that kind of legacy, that lineage of these Disney icons was kind of overwhelming and a real honour. I never really could have imagined something like this happening."
