Mariah Carey will appear on US TV to sell her new lifestyle brand.

The 'Obsessed' singer - who revealed this week she is pregnant with her first child - will debut her new lifestyle collection which includes jewellery, footwear and fragrance through the Home Shopping Network (HSN), and says she's looking forward to having some fun with selling her products on November 29.

Mariah told WWD: "I think it's just about being yourself, explaining the different products and enjoying yourself.

"If I take it so seriously, and say, 'Oh my god, It's a Shakespearean moment,' it's not going to be fun. I am looking at it as something fun. This is an extracurricular activity for me and I am looking forward to it. It's another creative outlet for me."

Mariah has been watching her friend, Joan Boyce, one of HSN's designers, when she appears on the channel to pick up tips for her own sales technique.

After saying she often gravitates toward HSN when channel surfing, Mariah added: "It's a classic, you have to keep it on. I do a very good impression of her."

Mariah credits Joan Boyce with introducing her to using jewellery to enhance her looks in the first place.

She added: "I never even used to wear jewellery. I used to wear baby earrings, tiny things. When I started to get into jewellery a little more, Joan was working with HSN, and that's how I met Mindy Grossman."

Through Joan, Mariah met HSN's chief executive officer, Mindy Grossman, and after the pair spent hours in her shoe closet, the product range was born.

Mariah's lifestyle brand will be available through the TV, as well as the Internet.
