The Croatian leg of Marilyn Manson's Against All Gods tour went ahead as planned last night (22AUG05), despite protests from the Catholic church who claim the singer "promotes Satanism".

The shock-rocker sparked furore when he announced his decision to perform in the coastal town of Pula, and Christian groups from the Istrian peninsula desperately tried halt the concert.

But despite seven Catholic priests offering to pay damages to organisers for the concert's cancellation, the gig went ahead at the city's Roman Amphitheatre with a considerable police presence.
