Late screen siren Marilyn Monroe has become the new face of cosmetics brand Max Factor from beyond the grave.

The Hollywood icon died in 1962 but will now star in the beauty company's 2015 advertising campaigns as she has been posthumously appointed their global glamour ambassador.

Monroe was a client of the brand in the 1940s and the commercials will show how the cosmetics transformed her from regular girl Norma Jeane to sex symbol Marilyn Monroe.

Max Factor's global creative design director Pat MCGrath says, "Marilyn made the sultry lip, creamy skin and dramatically lined eyes the most famous beauty look of the Forties, and it's a look that continues to dominate the beauty and fashion industry... it is the ultimate look that defines glamour - nothing else compares."
