Mark Ruffalo reportedly blames Ben Affleck for ruining his friendship with Jennifer Garner.

The 'Begin Again' actor, who has three children, Keen, 13, Bella Noche, nine, and Odette, seven, with his actress wife of 14 years Sunrise Coigney, admits he is no longer close to his '13 Going on 30' co-star, who is married to the 'Argo' director.

Asked if he stayed in touch with the brunette beauty, the 46-year-old actor told 'Watch What Happens Live' on Thursday (26.06.14): ''We had a great time together, and I think we would, but then Ben came on the scene and that was the end of that.''

When host Andy Cohen responded, ''I heard he doesn't allow her to have male friends?'' Mark shrugged his shoulders, refused to confirm or deny the statement, but said it is sad.

The actor and Jennifer played love interests in the 2004 romantic comedy, which was released when the actress and her now-husband first started dating.

The 'Butter' star, 42, married the Oscar-winning star, 41, in 2005 and they have three children, Violet, seven, Seraphina, five, and two-year-old Samuel.

Mark previously admitted he was surprised when he met Jennifer for the first time because she allegedly acted like a teenager on the set of the film and he expected her to be more like her character in 'Alias.'

Asked whether it hard to work opposite her when she was acting 13, he said: ''She is that. That is Jennifer Garner. When I met her, I was expecting a girl in a leather bustier with chopsticks sticking out of her hair. And then she walked in and she had a ponytail, no makeup and sweats. I was like, 'Who's that girl?' I was expecting this ass-kicking 'Alias' girl.''
