James 'Arg' Argent sees himself as the new "King of Essex" since Mark Wright quit 'The Only Way is Essex'.
The crooner is set to takeover from his best mate - who left the ITV2 programme at the end of the third series to appear in ITV1's 'I'm a celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!' - and become the "main man" on the ITV2 reality show.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I feel now that Mark's gone he's left the crown for me to pick up. He might be the King of the Jungle, but I'm the new King of Essex.
"Mark will probably laugh that off. But I definitely think I'm the main man now."
Despite having a bit-part role on the first series of 'TOWIE', Arg came out of his shell in the third season and insists he has "lots more to offer" in forthcoming episodes.
He added: "When the show first started I wasn't in any of the press shots so I wasn't really expected to make a big impact in the show, I was always thought of as Mark's sidekick and I was going to pop in now and then.
"But they obviously saw something special and in the last series I really developed into my own character and came out of my shell. So, apart from Mark I was the second lead character in the show.
"I never thought about quitting, I've got lots more to offer. I just feel at the moment there is no need for me to go elsewhere."
Arg is set to perform TOWIE's festive single 'Last Christmas' alongside girlfriend Lydia Bright and co-stars Lucy Mecklenburgh, Sam Faiers and Joey Essex at The Kia Oval Cricket Ground, London, on Sunday (27.11.11).
Joining members of dance troupe Diversity and 'Britain's Got More Talent' host Stephen Mulhern, the 'TOWIE' gang will don their Santa costumes at the event, which will aim to break the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as Father Christmas, as part of ITV's new charity initiative Text Santa.
Doors open at 11am and close at 1pm - with the event ending at 4pm - and some 13,000 people will be needed to break the record. For more information, visit www.itv.com/textsanta
