Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine loves to tease fans about the band's demise to add a little excitement to record releases.
The band shot to fame in 2004 with its chart hit This Love and Levine admits he's frequently dropping hints about when the group might split up - but the pop hunk insists his comments are always made in jest.
He tells the New York Post, "I say things like, 'This is the last Maroon 5 album' all the time to shake things up. Somehow the music seems much more exciting when there's a rumour that you're about to break up."
