American pop-rock group Maroon 5 are top of the British album charts for the second time with It Won't be Soon Before Long.

Five years after debut studio album Songs About Jane hit the number one spot, the Los Angeles five-piece have ousted Linkin Park's Minutes to Midnight as the highest-selling album in the UK.

The dramatic developments in the album chart are in stark contrast to its singles equivalent, which sees only one change in the top five.

Umbrella by Rihanna and featuring Jay-Z remains at number one, with Maroon 5's Makes Me Wonder and Beyonce and Shakira's Beautiful Liar still at two and three respectively.

Hellogoodbye's Here (In Your Arms) rises one place to four, as do Gym Class Heroes with Cupid's Chokehold.
