The US band are huge fans of the 'Someone Like You' hitmaker and keyboardist Jesse Carmichael revealed she is top of his list of musicians he wants to work with.

He said: "In terms of collaborations, I don't know. My personal favourite would be to work with Adele right now. She's amazing."

He said: "Get in line. Mumford and Sons album is my favourite album of the year. Last time I saw them they were rehearsing for a performance with Bob Dylan at the Grammys and they were freaking out. It was awesome to see them so excited."

Meanwhile, Jesse revealed the band were worried their number one single with Christina Aguilera 'Moves Like Jagger' would flop, because Adam loves it and when the lead singer hates one of their songs, it is usually successful.

Jesse said: "In the past we had this barometer, which was that if Adam hated a song, we knew it was going to be successful.

Adam added to Billboard.com: "I loved 'Jagger.' I was really worried it wasn't going to be big. I liked it a lot.

"It was one of those songs that was definitely a risk; it's a bold statement.

"We've never really released a song like that. But it's exciting to do something different, do something new. I'm just happy everyone likes it."
