Maroon 5 guitarist James Valentine has given up his life as a Mormon - because the religion is the "polar-opposite" to the lifestyle he now chooses to live. The 28-year-old was brought up as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a form of Christianity, but admits his career as a rocker has forced him to part ways with his childhood religion. He says, "I'm definitely not active. This is about as polar-opposite a lifestyle as I was supposed to have, in my adult life. "On the road I've gone through times of drinking too much and stuff, I went pretty far outside the bubble. I try to live morally and still have a good time, and I've had to find my own way. It's been a difficult path."
