Country star Marty Stuart has been charged with drink driving - after police were called to an accident in Hendersonville, Tennessee on Wednesday (23JUN04).

The WHISKY AIN'T WORKIN' singer was arrested at the scene - a car park of a McDONALD'S restaurant - and was later released on $1,500 (GBP835) bail. Nobody was injured in the accident.

Stuart was previously charged with driving under the influence in April 2002, but the charge was thrown out when a judge ruled police had unlawfully stopped his car. But the 45-year-old was banned from driving for a year for refusing to take a breathalyser test.
