Soul star Mary J Blige has politely declined to listen to singing legend Liza Minnelli's cover of her 2001 hit Family Affair. The R+B singer was shocked to hear the CABARET star would cover the energetic track, which features lyrics, such as, "Come on everybody get on up/ Cause you know we gots to get it crunk/ With a great track pumpin', everybody's jumpin'/ Goin' ahead and twist your back and get your body bumpin'/ I told you leave your situations at the door/ So grab somebody and get your a*s on the dance floor." Blige tells British gay magazine Attitude, "No (I haven't heard it) but she never stopped telling me about it. Word! I mean, what am I gonna make of that? "When she married to DAVID (GEST) he kept in getting in touch and telling me, 'You gotta hear Liza's version of Family Affair.' What do you say to that? "No, I don't think I really gotta hear that version. I don't wanna be rude, but..."
