Mary-Louise Parker is due to return for Season 6 of the US hit comedy-drama, Weeds.
Parker plays suburban drug-dealing mother Nancy Botwin in the Golden Globe winning series, and Season 6 see's the Botwins on the run, following the drama of the Season 5 finale. The family must now assume new identities in order to evade capture, and fireworks are set to fly as the plot thickens. Parker, who has won four awards in her distinguished career including a GOLDEN GLOBE for her role in Weeds, has previously starred in the likes of Red Dragon and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
However, it seems Parker's role in Weeds has allowed her to acquire some unlikely new skills - when asked by H Magazine what she had learned from starring in show, she said, "that you can make marijuana into cupcakes and lollipops."
The sixth season premieres on Monday August 16th 2010 , and follows five phenomenally successful seasons which has, to date, earned the show nominations for ten GOLDEN GLOBES, and nineteen Emmy Awards. The fifth season debut delivered Showtime's highest viewership for a show, with 1.3 million tuning in to witness the antics of the Botwin family.
