Megan Fox, the American actress who was fired from her role in the Transformers franchise, allegedly had a fling with co-star Shia LaBeouf while the pair were shooting one of the first two movies. LaBeouf confirmed the relationship during an interview with Details Magazine but claimed he 'didn't know' whether Megan Fox was dating Brian Austin Green at the time.
Asked if he "hooked up" with Fox during filming, LaBeouf nodded "affirmatively", adding, "Look, you're on the set for six months, with someone who's rooting to be attracted to you, and you're rooting to be attracted to them". The actor went on to explain, "I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen". Fox has been romantically involved with Brian Austin Green since 2004, but when pushed on the actresses' status at the time, LaBeouf was non-committal, saying, "I don't know, man. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know", repeating the phrase exactly 12 times, before noting, "It was what it was".
Megan Fox was replaced in Michael Bay's action sci-fi franchise by the British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. It was revealed producer Steven Spielberg had urged Bay to sack the actress following comparisons she made between the direct and Adolf Hitler.
