Kevin Hart thinks humour is the ''most attractive thing in the world''.

The 35-year-old comedian, who stars in new comedy 'Get Hard' alongside fellow funnyman Will Ferrell, said he was unsurprised to hear Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep has a crush on his co-star, simply because he's able to make women laugh.

Asked if he was shocked by Meryl's confession, Kevin said: ''No, I wasn't shocked she wanted to get with Will. Granted, Will may not be a walking sex symbol but what is the most attractive thing in the world to a woman? Humour.

''If you can make a woman laugh and a woman can have a good time, your longevity with that woman is so much better than the guy that walks in with the abs who doesn't really talk. That gets old after day three.

''The guy that you can be 100 percent of yourself with is the guy that you will truly love.''

However, Kevin insisted you cannot teach someone to be funny, observing ''you either have it or you don't''.

He told Metro newspaper: ''I don't care what anyone says. You can't teach funny. There's different levels of funny - family funny, professional funny, improv funny, coworker funny. Different types of personalities can shine but everybody can't be that person. When you are, you stand out.''
