Movie Mogul Robert Relyea Dead At 82

Veteran movie producer Robert Relyea has died, aged 82.
The former Mgm/United Artists president began life as a crew member and went on to work with big screen greats Steve MCQueen and John Wayne and directors William Wyler and Robert Wise.
He passed away on 12 March (13).
Relyea was an assistant director on the 1957 Elvis Presley movie Jailhouse Rock and Frank Sinatra's 1959 war film, Never So Few, which also featured MCQueen. He also worked on The Magnificent Seven and The Great Escape.
He formed independent production company, Solar Productions, with MCQueen in 1966 - the company behind the film icon's movie classics Bullitt and The Reivers.
During his tenure at Mgm/Ua, Relyea supervised all four Pierce Brosnan James Bond blockbusters, Get Shorty and Legally Blonde.
He released his autobiography, Not So Quiet on the Set: My Life in Movies During Hollywood’s MACho Era, in 2008.
