Canadian crooner Michael Buble is backing talent show sensation Susan Boyle to top the charts - he's vowed to buy 20 copies of her debut album on its release.
The Home hitmaker fell in love with the Scottish spinster's story after catching her audition performance of I Dreamed A Dream on U.K. TV show Britain's Got Talent earlier this year (09).
Boyle wowed the world as the clip became an internet hit, and her first studio album, due out in November (09), has already achieved the highest pre-release sales in the history of online retailer Amazon.com.
And Buble has named himself as a fan of the unlikely superstar - insisting he always backs an "underdog".
He says, "I didn't understand Susan Boyle. I was cynical and critical because I had never seen her in that first show where she comes up and says, 'I want to be a singer,' and the audience looks at her and says, 'Oh please!' I got goosebumps.
"I'm going to go, when this record comes out, and buy 20 copies... because what a beautiful story of an underdog.
"It gives me faith in the human condition that we still have that kind of feeling that we actually want the good guy to win. It killed me. It is a really beautiful, beautiful story."
