Canadian crooner Michael Buble has risked the wrath of his record label bosses by cutting down his touring schedule as he prepares to become a father.

The singer is expecting his first child with his model wife Luisana Lopilato later this year (13), and he has changed the promotional schedule around his new album, To Be Loved, to make sure he can spend more time at home.

He tells Britain's Sunday Express newspaper, "I have made a great record and a big record, but the things that I care about have definitely changed. I have pared down my tour schedule which is hell for my promoters and my management who are watching millions of dollars slip out of the window, but that's how it has got to be. I have to be happy in my personal life otherwise I am not going to be happy in my professional life."

To Be Loved is due for release in April (13).
