Michael Jackson's personal physician, DR. CONRAD MURRAY, has hired Britney Spears' former attorney amid reports Los Angeles prosecutors are seeking an involuntary manslaughter indictment of the medic.
Murray's attorney Ed Chernoff has confirmed J. Michael Flanagan has been added to Murray's legal team this week (beg04Jan10).
Reports suggest Flanagan, who served as Spears' legal advisor throughout 2008, previously handled a case involving Propofol - the powerful anaesthetic drug Murray administered to the King of Pop..
The Los Angeles county coroner's office determined that Jackson died from "acute propofol intoxication" combined with sedatives, and declared his death a homicide.
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officials and medical experts completed their investigations into the June (09) tragedy last month (Dec09) and Murray has been identified in search warrants as a suspect in a manslaughter investigation.
The doctor has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
