Michael Jackson's personal assistant has filed suit against bosses at concert promotion company Aeg, alleging their appointment of DR. Conrad Murray as the King of Pop's personal physician cost him a huge payday.

Michael Amir Williams claims Aeg executives vowed to pay $7.5 million (£4.69 million) to members of Jackson's staff involved in the doomed This Is It London residency, but the deal fell flat when the Thriller hitmaker passed away unexpectedly on 25 June, 2009.

Murray was subsequently convicted of administering the fatal dose of anaesthetic Propofol that cost the singer his life and now Williams is seeking to recover some of the wages he would have earned by suing Aeg.

In legal papers obtained by Tmz.com, Williams blames Aeg bosses for failing to act responsibly by hiring Murray and subsequently failing to properly manage or supervise the medic. He is demanding unspecified damages.

Disgraced Murray is currently serving a four-year jail sentence for involuntary manslaughter.
