Michael Jackson To Front Pepsi Campaign - Comments and Message Board

I think Pepsi owes this to Michael Jackson. If it were not for that Pepsi commercial Michael Jackson would have never started on pain killers for relief. For those who hadn't figured this out, Pepsi would "only" put out a still shot of that tragedy. When Michael died then the video of that entire episode came out and I have to say I couldn't believe the magnitude of that fire on/in Michael's head. Like others I had believed just his hair had burned, but when Michael felt the heat and the others crowded around him to put the fire out, Michael came up and all you could see was his hair gone and a circle of red, burned flesh, so that fire had penetrated into his scalp. That is where pain killers came into his life and as a person who has had brain surgery, I can tell you that feeling of a mixture of pain, numbness and tingling all at the same time never goes away. You have to find your own ways to deal with it and since his life was in the public, he did what he felt he had to do to be able to put on 100% entertainment for his fans whether physically he wanted to do it or not and he did just that with no excuses. If it wasn't for the faulty Pepsi equipment Michael Jackson's life probably would have been completely different which includes the fact that his would not have had a need for propofol just to get a good night's sleep. Although Pepsi has gotten the estate to agree to use Michael's image and this will help the estate, Pepsi is once again getting a boost for their product by using Michael Jackson. In other words if it wasn't for Pepsi, Michael would probably still be here performing, because for Michael Jackson that fire is where it all started!!!

I, for one, am happy to see this. For sure, I will buy the Pepsi and I don't even drink soda. The money will benefit the Estate which will benefit the kids and that's all I care about. Most of all, I'm also in favor of anything that will keep Michael and his image in front of the world in a positive way.
