Michael Jackson's Mom: Katherine Jackson Has Been Missing For A Week
Michael Jackson's mom Katherine Jackson has been reported missing, according to law enforcement sources who spoke with TMZ.com. A nephew of Katherine filed a missing person's report with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department on Saturday (July 21, 2012), claiming he had been unable to reach his auntie for over a week.
Jermaine Jackson had tweeted earlier this week that Katherine was resting in Arizona, on doctor's orders, though Paris Jackson has since confirmed, "yes, my grandmother is missing. i haven't spoken with her in a week i want her home now". She followed the comment up with a plea for people to call the authorities if they spot her, sensationally adding, "the same doctor that testified on behalf of dr murray saying my father was a drug addict (a lie) is caring for my grandmother... just saying". Katherine's lawyer Sandra Ribera told CNN that she has never gone more than 24 hours without speaking to her grandchildren. The famous family has been feuding over the past couple of weeks, with Randy, Jermaine, Tito, Rebbie and Janet Jackson seeking to have the executors of Michael's estate resign from their position. A leaked letter written by the Jacksons claimed that Mr John Branca and Mr John MCClain had "taken advantage of the family ... and have stressed out Katherine Jackson so much, that she recently suffered a mini-stroke".
Katherine's lawyer added that she had left has home in Calabasas, California, on July 15, 2012, to fly to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to attend a Jackson brothers concert scheduled for two days later.
