The prosecutors who will be trying to put Michael Jackson's personal physician behind bars have won a major battle in court - all testimony related to the King of Pop's 2005 child molestation case will be banned from the upcoming manslaughter trial.
The lawyers asked Judge Michael Pastor to block testimony related to the trial in Santa Barbara, California on Friday (26Aug11) and the judge has agreed to the request.
Tmz.com reports suggested Steve Robel, a Santa Barbara County Sheriff's investigator at the molestation trial, was on the defence team's witness list. The prosecutors insisted the 2005 trial has no relevance to Jackson's death.
And Judge Pastor agreed on Monday (29Aug11), ruling that witnesses will not be allowed to discuss Jackson's child molestation case during Dr. Conrad Murray's manslaughter trial, which begins next month (Sep11).
Judge Pastor has also banned Jackson's dermatologist, Dr. Arnie Klein, from testifying after prosecutors argued the defence team would try to blame the dermatologist for the King of Pop's death and take away attention from the accused, Murray.
Dr. Murray is charged with administering the anaesthetic which killed Jackson in June, 2009.

The 2005 trial should have nothing to do with the forthcoming Murray trial - Michael Jackson has already unjustifiably suffered character assassination at the hands of the media during that trial. People proposing to do so again should consider walking a mile in the other person's shoes for a while - or in this case, in his family's. Dr Murray deserves justice just as MJ deserved and still deserves it. The less interference the better.

YEAH! This defense team is so full of it. Maybe if they stop trying to find a way to blame MJ and focus on their client Murray might? Have a shadow of a chance. MJ did NOT want to die he just wanted to sleep, but he also wanted to wake up, but thanks to Murray that never happened. RIP, MJ.
