Australian model Michelle Leslie has been released from an Indonesia jail, after serving three months behind bars on drug charges.
Last week (ends18NOV05), the 24-year-old beauty was convicted by a court in Bali of carrying two Ecstasy tablets, and sentenced to a three-month prison sentence. But she was released on Saturday (19NOV05) because she'd spent three months behind bars awaiting trial.
Leslie, who returned to Sydney yesterday (22NOV05), faced a barrage of criticism from Muslims in Australia because she'd declared during her trial that she's a practicing Muslim.
While she often wore a veil to court, she was seen in tight jeans and a skimpy black shirt after she was released.
Leslie defends, "I was a Muslim long before any of this happened. You can be a Muslim regardless of your clothes."
