British soul icon Chris Farlowe has become the subject of a new documentary surrounding the 1960s smash-hit Mick Jagger wrote for him.
The singer hit the top of the charts around the world with Out of Time and he's still performing the song on the road almost 50 years later.
His life is currently being documented for Triple A Films' Out of Time: A Film About Chris Farlowe, in which the weary soul man explains he wasn't sure his breakthrough hit was a classic when Jagger first played it for him - he actually thought it was a flop.
Farlowe says, "One day Mick rang me up from his home and said, 'I've got a couple of songs I've written for you, come on down and listen to it (sic).'
"He got the guitar and he strummed Out of Time out and then I said, 'I dunno about this Mick'. And he said, 'Don't worry about it... When we get down to the studio, it's gonna be totally different', and of course it was all cellos and orchestra.
"It was number one, a smash all over the place. It's a classic record and that's how it was written for me. But I didn't like it when I first heard it."
