Actor Mickey Rourke will make his return to professional boxing in a five-round match in Moscow, Russia on Friday (28Nov14)

The 62-year-old will take on 29-year-old American competitor Elliot Seymour in his first professional fight since he retired from the sport in the 1990s.

Rourke tells Russia's Tass news agency, "Boxing's a serious part of my life. It taught me respect and determination. I always dreamed of fighting in Russia."

U.S. boxer Bernard Hopkins has made a prediction to Tmz.com, saying, "I'm gonna go with the experienced guy (Rourke) who knows how to take care of himself... It's not a slam dunk that he'll win, but at the least I think it's going to be a competitive fight."

Rourke was an amateur boxer in his teenage years, and he returned to the sport as a pro for eight bouts in the 1990s, winning six and drawing two.
