Filmmaker Morgan Spurlock has commended the enterprising dad who is trying to persuade Mars confectionery bosses to cover his unborn son's education fees - by naming him Snickers.
The Super Size Me documentarian is about to release a new movie all about product placement, which has been funded by the companies he features in the film, and he thinks more hard-up parents will offer to call their kids strange names - for sponsorship cash.
Spurlock tells Showbiz411.com, "I was sent this link and there's a guy online... and he said to Mars candy bar company, 'Hey Mars, I'll name my kid Snickers if you pay for his entire education. I doubt Mars has responded... but I thought that was fantastic. That's where we're heading.
"I don't think Snickers will ever go for it, but I'm sure you'll probably get another brand that will latch onto that, like why not call your kid Capital One Visa... This is my son, Capital One Visa Jones... He's Cap One."
