Don't Look Down Movie Review
This is sad, sad "horror" at its inexplicable worst, an absolutely dreadful attempt at the type of thriller that never really shows the face of the bad guy. The idea is that when one girl's sister falls to her death, the survivor (Megan Ward) becomes afraid of heights and seeks help from an aggressive therapy group. But when the group's members start falling to their deaths (hmmmmmm...), she wonders, geez, do those ghosts of the dead I keep seeing have anything to do with it?
In a word, Don't Look Down is just plain stupid. There's no suspense here. The acting is atrocious. The plot is plodding and abrasive in its dumbed-down simplicity. Even the music is awful -- the opening tune makes it sound like you're watching a new sitcom. I simply can't imagine how or why this film got made, though executive producer Craven must still have pull somewhere.
Don't Look Down wants to do for heights what Psycho did for showers. Sadly, it really only does for Wes Craven movies what Psycho did for showers.
