Dreamgirls - Comments and Message Board

I recently saw this movie "Dreamgirls" at my local Odean Cinema. It was brilliant. "Chicago" was a good musical film but this beat it hands down. Jennifer Hudson performance was just breath taking. My local cinema was full for the 1st time ever as the viewers stood up to applaud Jennifer's vocal talent whe she sang "your gonna love me". I'd never witness anything like this where the audience in a local cinema stands up to applaud an on screen actor. I hope Jennifer Hudson does win the Academy Award for Best Actress 2007. Also Eddie Murphy was brilliant. I love Beyonce & Jamie Foxx & not forgetting Danny Glover but for me Jennifer was amazing. A great viewing for Saturday night Entertainment/ Movies.

As with most musical movies you will either love it or hate it. As Moulin Rouge did a few years ago, it will leave movie fans split down the middle. It is a little cheesy as you would expect being based on a Stage Musical from the early 80’s. I loved it and Jennifer Hudson was superb.

I haven't yet watched Dreamgirls but right after the Golden Globe Awards, I'm pretty sure that the film is a rocking one. I love Beyonce, Eddie Murphy, and the rest oe the co-stars were amazing. I just wish you all luck for much more amazing films in years to come.
