The Long Good Friday Review

Often heralded as one of the great British gangster flicks, The Long Good Friday is unfortunately saddled by the same laziness and vain attempts at kitschy insiderism that made Get Carter so forgettable, as well. Bob Hoskins plays the heavy this time out, fuming his way through 100 minutes of nonsense as he tries to figure out who is blowing up his places of business. Surprisingly, not much plot to get in the way of his ritualistic interrogations and murders of his rivals....
