Demi Lovato has followed on from Zooey Deschanel by singing at the World Series.

The 'Skyscraper' singer found the experience of performing at the Major League Baseball championships game between Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals in Texas a "rush" and she had previously tweeted how she was "so nervous/excited" about the spectacle.

She told MTV News: "The rush of going out there ... nothing compares to it. I feel like I'm about to jump out of a plane.

"Getting to do this in my hometown of Dallas, Texas, is such a dream come true, because I've been to these Rangers games many times. I've sat in the nosebleed sections where you can barely see anything and now I'm going to be singing on the field."

The brunette beauty also followed in the footsteps of 'American Idol' winner Scotty Mccreery after the 18-year-old singer performed at the World Series game between St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers.
