CHORD OVERSTREET, a friend of actress and singer Demi Lovato, is among a host of new stars joining the cast of Glee for season 2, which kicks off tonight (September 21st 2010). The show promises several new faces in the halls of MCKinley High and MTV News caught up with a few of them at the red-carpet premiere party for the all new series. Overstreet told MTV, "I'm raw meat, fresh, There's candles involved, a bunch of, like, Satanic rituals. Just some hazing, some general hazing. Little pranks here and there, nothing big, but I mean everybody was really welcoming when I came in".
Elsewhere, DOT JONES will be joining the show, playing 'Shannon Beiste', the new football coach, and she said, "Already off the bat, I'm going toe-to-toe with Jane Lynch'S character. She's one mean broad." Jones is no stranger to appearing in hit US shows, in recent years she's featured in '10 Things I Hate About You', 'Cougar Town', and the multi-award winning drama series, 'Prison Break'.
E! Online recently reported that Gwyneth Paltrow is set to appear in the third season of Glee, which filming begins in November. The actress will play a substitute teacher at MCKinley High for two episodes.
