Lady GaGa will take centre stage at an upcoming MTV Awards ceremony in Japan to raise funds for the post-earthquake and tsunami relief effort in the country.
The Poker Face hitmaker has become the first act announced as a performer at the 10th annual Mtv Video Music Awards Japan, which has been dubbed the Mtv Video Music Aid Japan.
Organisers of the June (11) event hope to generate millions for the Japanese Red Cross - and help survivors of last month's (Mar11) devastating natural disasters, which ravaged the country's east coast.
Gaga has already raised $1.5 million (£937,500) for the relief effort by selling specially-designed prayer wristbands to fans.
