Muse has been named the best ever act to grace the stage at Britain's legendary Glastonbury music festival.
The Supermassive Black Hole hitmakers' 2004 headlining set on the Pyramid Stage has topped NME.com's fan poll seven years later.
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis says, "People were sceptical initially about Muse as headliners. They were a bit: 'MCCartney, Oasis, Muse? Hmmm.' But it was like: 'You watch!' And it really blew people's minds. It was the best performance of that year. Everyone in that audience was like, 'What is this?' And so it was like probably the ultimate booking."
Music fans also rated Radiohead, Sir Paul MCCartney, Blur, David Bowie, Pulp and Stevie Wonder among their top acts at the festival, which takes place again this weekend (ends26Jun11).
