Reality TV bosses have kicked off the space race again as they head for the stars with a new show - again involving 'N Sync hunk Lance Bass.

PHIL GURIN, who worked with Lance Bass to chronicle his 2002 astronaut training experience in Russia, is developing a project that would involve ordinary folks training and competing to land a seat on a Russian space flight.

Bass is still attached to Gurin's new project, but only as a consultant.

Meanwhile, according to trade paper HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, American reality TV veteran CRAIG PILIGIAN is developing a spacebased project with a competitive element that is said to involve millionaires competing for the privilege of becoming a space tourist.
