Rapper 2 Chainz faced off with U.S. Tv personality Nancy Grace on live Tv as part of a heated debate regarding the legalisation of marijuana.

The I'm Different hitmaker battled it out with Grace over the pros and cons of making the drug legal during an installment of her self-titled U.S. Tv show after a video surfaced showing a mother giving her child a puff on a rolled-up cigarette.

Grace branded the video disturbing, but 2 Chainz insisted that if marijuana was legal in every U.S. state, it would be up to individuals to "govern your own household" to stop such incidents happening.

The rapper also recalled his 2013 legal battle when drug paraphernalia was found on his tour bus, and he insisted prosecuting weed smokers is a waste of tax payer's money.

2 Chainz told the host, "Everybody has the ability to get hold of pot whether it's legal or not. I just feel like if you legalise this drug it could cut out certain things in the criminal justice system as far as the overcrowding in prisons, putting this on our criminal record, prevent us from getting loans, prevent us from getting homes... We got half of the States legalising pot, if the rest of the community legalises pot that frees up tax payers' money that allows us to do something with these extra funds. My bus gets pulled over and they say they smell weed like they do all the time... They lock me up, they strip me, then they find out I'm a rapper and they want to know how fine is Nicki Minaj, they want to take pictures with me. They charge me... I go to court, I go to trial... They drop my case... If that's not a waste of tax payers time and money then I don't know what it is."

Selling marijuana remains illegal in most parts of the world, but several U.S. states have decriminalised the drug for medicinal purposes, and Uruguay became the first country to legalise weed production and sales last year (14).
