Naomi Campbell only drank juice for 10 days before her return to the runway for Versace in June.
The 43-year-old supermodel has revealed she implemented a strict diet of liquid fruit and vegetables before she took to the catwalk at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week earlier this year.
She told Net-a-Porter's The Edit magazine: ''For 10 days prior I just drank juice - carrot, ginger, pineapple - to cleanse.''
Naomi's dedication paid off and she was delighted with the reaction she got from the crowd despite feeling slightly nervous beforehand.
She said: ''I was quite stunned at the reaction. I remember the room being quiet and I thought, 'Oh my God, they don't want me here!' ''
The show was the first time the British supermodel represented Versace following a 14-year break and she found the experience ''overwhelming.''
Naomi added: ''It was emotional for me to do the show after 14 years. When I did my fitting in those amazing clothes, it was just overwhelming.''
Although the stunning star is conscious of what she consumes, she admits she doesn't usually go to ''extremes'' and gives herself the chance to occasionally enjoy tasty treats including chocolate and crisps.
She explained: ''I'm not extreme about what I eat. I let chocolate and crisps come in at times. You have to allow the little things that make you happy.''
