Actress Naomi Watts was not a fan of actor pal Simon Baker when he first started dating her best friend, because The Mentalist star refused to let the ladies have time alone.
The Australian hunk reveals he was so besotted with his then-girlfriend Rebecca Rigg, he didn't want to leave her side - even when Watts wanted to catch up with her pal during a trip home, shortly after moving to America to break into Hollywood.
Baker, who wed actress Rigg in 1998, explains, "My wife and her (Watts) are really good friends and I'd just started hanging out with (Rigg), but she said to me after a week of about spending every moment together, she said, 'Oh, by the way, my girlfriend is coming back from the States next week, you're gonna have to make yourself scarce.' And I was like, 'What? What does that mean?'
"Well, it didn't happen and then Naomi arrived back and was like, 'Who's this guy with you the whole time, aren't we gonna hang out?' I was like, 'We're gonna hang out together!'"
Baker soon won Watts over and The Impossible beauty is now godmother to the couple's second child, Claude.
