Naomi Watts jumped at the chance to star in Clint Eastwood's new movie J. Edgar - because the shoot was only three weeks long for the busy working mum.
The King Kong star is more picky with her roles since becoming a mother to two young sons, and she was delighted when Eastwood offered her the part of former Fbi director J. Edgar Hoover's secretary.
She tells Total Film magazine, "I have a family now so my choices are all about how it works with family life. It's like, 'Where does it shoot, how long for?'
"(Picking movies is) always about the director first, because if there's a director attached you'll want to read the script. This actually came up after I'd spent six months in Thailand and Spain working on The Impossible, but when Clint calls, you're instantly interested.
"Plus it was just three weeks work for me so it was really doable."
