Neil Diamond has announced that he's gotten married for the third time; the 'Sweet Caroline' singer instead has found himself a sweet Katie - his current manager Katie MCNeil. Diamond, 71, and MCNeil, 42, were married in an intimate ceremony in Los Angles in front of family and close friends according to People Magazine.
Diamond had first announced the engagement last September when writing on Twitter "Good news coming from sunny LA/ and you're the first I want to tell/ Katie & I just got engaged/ and I hope you wish us well," he wrote at the time. He also posted a photo of his bride-to-be with the words, "I'm lovestruck." Lovely stuff.
Diamond was married for the first time in 1963 to high school sweet heart Jaye Posner, a teacher at the time. They had two daughters before separating in 1967 and divorcing in 1969. His second marriage was to Marcia Murphey, a production assistant and he went on to have two more children with her before splitting in 1994. He was also in a long term relationship with Australian Rae Farley having met in 1996, the pair eventually splitting up in 2008 although she had been running the star's merchandising operation. Here's hoping for better luck third time round!
