Neil Patrick Harris, the 37-year-old actor and star of 'How I Met Your Mother', is set to make his directorial debut when he gets behind the camera for the romantic indie comedy 'Aaron and Sarah', starring Josh Hutcherson and Emma Roberts, reports MTV News.
The movie follows the unlikely relationship of the two lead characters, a geek, and a 'popular girl', who meet during their freshman year at high school. As well as making his directing debut, Patrick Harris also has a busy acting schedule ahead of him. He's set to star in 'A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas', as well as 'Beastly', a modern version of 'Beauty & The Beast' which also stars Vanessa Hudgens. This in addition to his usual duties playing the role of 'Barney Stinson' in 'How I Met Your Mother'.
Harris has had a long and distinguished career in television, and was rewarded for his performances in August 2010 when he won his first Emmy Awards. The actor earned the prizes for his guest role in the hit US show 'Glee', and for hosting the 63rd Annual Tony Awards.
